Our Story
Located in the heart of downtown Montgomery, The Painted Potter Studio was opened in 2024 by Lindsey Bryan, a local mom of three. Lindsey aims to add a fun and engaging activity to downtown Montgomery - for kids and adults alike. Come in today for girls night outs, book club, date nights and more!
The Painted Potter Studio is an independent, walk-in based, paint-your-own-pottery studio.
How it Works
Bring your creativity! As a painter, you will choose an item from our large selection of pre-formed pottery pieces - including serving ware, frames and gifts, children's banks and decor, and more. Our pieces range from $20-$75. Then choose your paint and get started. Once you're finished painting, we will fire it in our on-site kiln. Your piece will then be ready for pickup in 5-7 business days unless told other wise. Any pieces left longer than 60 days will become property of The Painted Potter Studio.
We are a walk-in based studio.
We do not accept reservation during open hours.
Additionally, we value everyone's individual experience and as we are a small studio we kindly ask there is no walk-in groups larger than a group of 6.
As of January 1st, we have implemented a $5 studio fee per painter. This allows us to continue offering a high-quality, relaxed, and creative experience for every guest.

No outside food allowed in studio
No outside food allowed in the studio — unless you’ve reserved a party or private event.
We love good snacks too, but lately, it’s been feeling more like a restaurant than a pottery studio.
Let’s keep our space cozy, creative, and glaze-splattered — not crumb-covered!

Studio Disclaimers
Walk-in Birthday Parties
We kindly request that walk-in birthdays or parties larger than 6 guest book their celebration in advance. Our studio is very small and in order to ensure a delightful experience for everyone we have designated times set aside for any parties.
A %20 fee will apply to all walk-in parties -- per painter -- at our discretion.
Additionally, studio seating is reserved exclusively for painters.

**Please note that participating in a group activity for your birthday is different from hosting a birthday party!
POTTERY PICK UP POLICY
Pottery pieces are typically ready for pickup one week after painting.
We do not make phone calls when pieces are finished. However, we post a social media story for every kiln unload as a sneak peek. This gives you a chance to spot your piece and pick it up sooner than the one-week mark.
Miss the story? No worries — we guarantee your piece will be ready within one week of painting.
Please note: finished pottery must be picked up within 60 days of completion. After 60 days, unclaimed pieces become the property of The Painted Potter Studio.
